130 cyclists on start line of DCC Sportive
Riders from across the country rode the Dunfermline Cycling Club Tour of the Kingdom Sportive last weekend, 25th May 2019.
The Sportive, consisting of 3 routes, catered for cyclists of all abilities with a route of 33, 70 and 103 miles.
The Sportive was in memory of late memory Gary Conner who passed away in December 2018 after battling a brain tumour. Among the riders were Gary's wife, Kirsteen, and their family and friends who were all raising funds for the Queen Margaret Hospice in Dunfermline, where Gary spent the last 10 weeks of his life.
The day was a huge success with Marc Moffat the first rider back on the green route, Graham Gordon on the red route and Ross Mitchell was first on the black route.
The Sportive was covered by the Dunfermline Press on the 23rd and 30th May and articles are pictured below.
