Virtual Mountain Time Trial reaches the summit!

DCC held a successful virtual Mountain Time Trial on Sunday, using the popular RGT platform. In what was a true representation of the route both in distance and elevation, 13 riders from across Scotland took part with Richard Sanderson from Kinross CC setting the fastest mens time at 1:05:03 and DCCs very own Andrea Gellan taking the Womens first place with a time of 1:24:36.

The 'real' MTT is usually held at this time of year but as we all know, was not possible to run for obvious reasons! However, many riders may have been grateful for the indoor alternative! The weather has historically not been kind to the event where in 2018 it was postponed due to Beast from the East, in 2019 the event ran with 40mph winds and last year was cancelled literally as riders were warming up due to ice on the course! Here's hoping for a problem free event in 2022!!
